𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩, 𝘍𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘚𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘯

​They say the best adventures happen when you step out of your comfort zone, and dude, did we step out for this one!

​Our journey from Banate, Iloilo to the mountains of Tanay, Rizal was a whirlwind of "firsts" and "thank-God" moments. It started with a 4 AM rush to the airport, hearts racing because we thought our flight was at 6:30 AM (turns out it was 7:30 AM—bless that extra hour of breathing room! 😂).

​As a first-time Luzon traveler, everything felt so big and fast. From catching an InDrive at the airport to navigating the hustle of Starmall Shaw to find a UV Express, I was basically holding onto my seat and my faith.. especially that the van driver was chasing winds with his driving skills. 😖 Honestly, it was pure trust in the Lord that guided us through every transfer and every new face.

​After a 6 times 100 trike ride from Tanay center, we finally reached Brgy. Daraitan at 4 PM. Good thing was we booked a very cool place called Camp YOLO (stay tuned for this one!) The roads were packed, the travel was long, but seeing my sister Glaiza’s best friend, Cheldee, made every kilometer worth it. We’re here for the wedding, but we found so much more.

​​After catching up with the bride and getting some much-needed rest, we took Day 2 at our own pace (muinus the pandesal boy at 6am 😂):

​11:00 AM: Finally woke up (travel fatigue, not jetlagged!! is real!)

​Brunch: Fueling up for the trek by eating at a very unique place called (see prev reel).

​The Hike: We headed out to a portion of Tinipak River, and you guys... photos (still editing) don't do it justice. We ARE IN AWE!!

​Walking along the white rocks and feeling the cool water, I couldn't help but be mesmerized. Every corner of Daraitan is a reminder of how beautiful the Lord’s creation is. It’s rugged, it’s peaceful, and it’s exactly what the soul needs.

​"Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark."

​From the KASAG of Banate, and plains of Iloilo to the rivers of Rizal, my heart is full. Twas such a reset before the coming weeks of March 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

we are looking for hearty and comfy meals after our night rest, and found this hidden gem right in the heart of brgy. daraitan, tanay, rizal. good thing that the owner had work experiences in bacolod, so talked in hiligaynon 😂

btw, we had beef pares with lechon and hungarian silog. thank you Lord for this little given rest 🙌🙏
