PNP STATEMENT ON REPORTED ROADSIDE EXPLOSION IN MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR
The Philippine National Police (PNP) assures the public that the reported roadside explosive incident in Brgy. Sapakan, Rajah Buayan, Maguindanao del Sur on April 1, 2026 is not alarming and is under control.
Initial reports from responding personnel of the Rajah Buayan Municipal Police Station indicate that no one was hurt in the incident. While there was minor damage to a police mobile unit, all personnel are safe and accounted for.
Our police immediately responded upon receiving the report and have since secured the area. Coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, particularly the 34th Infantry Battalion, is ongoing, while our Post-Explosion and Canine Unit (PECU) is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the nature and source of the explosion.
We have also intensified checkpoint operations and visibility patrols in the area to prevent any related incidents and to ensure the safety of the community.
The PNP urges the public to remain calm and vigilant. At this time, there is no indication of a wider threat, and authorities are on top of the situation.
We encourage everyone to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station. Rest assured, the PNP remains committed to protecting lives and maintaining peace and order at all times.

PNP NETS 16,784 ARRESTS, PHP 11B ILLEGAL DRUGS OFF STREETS IN 1ST QTR OF 2026
The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported major wins in its campaign against illegal drugs, with operations nationwide showing significant results from January 1 to March 30, 2026.
In just three months, the PNP conducted 14,550 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 16,784 individuals.
Confiscated drugs during this period included 619,820 grams of shabu, 2.8 million grams of dried ma*****na leaves, 619,820 ma*****na plants, 1,816 grams of co***ne, 166,000 grams of ecstasy, and over 4 million grams of kush ma*****na—estimated at more than Php 11 billion in standard drug price.
Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the campaign against illegal drugs is showing clear progress, but the fight is far from over.
“Ang resulta ng ating kampanya ay malinaw na patunay na tuloy-tuloy at epektibo ang ating laban kontra iligal na droga. Pero hindi pa rito nagtatapos ang laban,” he said.
He added, "We will continue our bloodless campaign, focusing on operations that protect communities while respecting human rights."
These successes reflect the PNP Focused Agenda under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations framework, demonstrating proactive, coordinated, and community-centered policing.

PNP SERVES 78 WARRANTS OF ARREST, APPREHENDS TOP MOST WANTED PERSONS
A total of 78 Warrants of Arrest (WOAs) have been served nationwide as of 9:00 PM on April 1, 2026, in ongoing focused operations under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations program. These efforts are part of the PNP Focused Agenda to maintain peace and order and ensure accountability across communities.
While the PNP has intensified security preparations for the Holy Week, police units made it clear that operations to serve justice never stop,ensuring that law enforcement continues around the clock.
Among those arrested, several high-priority Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) were apprehended, including three ranked No. 2, five ranked No. 3, seven ranked No. 4, three ranked No. 5, two ranked No. 6, six ranked No. 7, five ranked No. 8, four ranked No. 9, and four ranked No. 10.
These results demonstrate the PNP’s persistent focus on high-risk targets even during peak holiday periods.
“This shows that our police units remain relentless in pursuing justice and safeguarding communities,” said Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief PNP. “Hindi kami nagpapabaya. Tuloy-tuloy ang aming operasyon habang pinapangalagaan ang karapatang pantao at sinusunod ang batas.”
The operations were conducted in close coordination with local government units and other law enforcement agencies to ensure smooth and lawful apprehension. No untoward incidents were reported during the arrests.

EASTERN VISAYAS OPERATIONS NET 757 ARRESTS, PHP17.9M IN ILLEGAL ITEMS
The Philippine National Police (PNP) strengthened its presence across Eastern Visayas in March 2026, resulting in 757 arrests, 30 voluntary surrenders, and the seizure of approximately Php17.9 million worth of illegal drugs, fi****ms, smuggled goods, and other prohibited items.
Anti-drug operations accounted for 103 raids, yielding the arrest of 137 suspects and confiscation of over 540 grams of illegal substances valued at more than Php3.6 million. In parallel, 30 members of insurgent groups voluntarily surrendered, and authorities recovered 23 fi****ms and explosives.
Smuggling operations targeting ci******es and petroleum led to the arrest of seven individuals and confiscation of 555 packs of smuggled ci******es, 22 reams of illicit paper, and nearly 1,920 liters of petroleum products.
Meanwhile, efforts against illegal fishing and logging resulted in 389 arrests and the recovery of fishing paraphernalia, fish catch, and 4,685 board feet of illegal lumber, valued at over Php13.9 million.
Additionally, 181 operations against illegal possession of fi****ms and explosives recovered 202 weapons, while 83 anti-gambling raids resulted in 224 arrests and the confiscation of bet money.
