Today, we remember Mayor Joni Villanueva-Tugna — a faithful servant whose life became a fruitful legacy of faith, leadership, and compassion. Through Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide, Zoe Broadcasting Network, and her service to the people of Bocaue, Bulacan, she exemplified what it means to lead with a heart fully surrendered to God. Her life reflected integrity, faithfulness, and a deep love for people, leaving behind a testimony that continues to inspire generations. Though she went home to the Lord in 2020, her faithfulness continues to bear fruit through lives changed, ministries strengthened, and people drawn closer to Christ. Truly, the righteous are remembered not only for what they accomplished, but for the blessing their lives became to others.

THE JOURNEY OF THE FAITHFUL

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

WHAT DOES FAITHFULNESS SHOW:
1. THE DEPTH OF ONE;S LOVE (Lalim ng pag-ibig.)
* If you love me, keep my commands. -John 14:15

2. THE GREATNESS OF ONE'S GRATITUDE (Laki ng pasasalamat.)
* Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits. - Psalm 103:2

3. THE GORWTH OF ONE'S FAITH (Lago ng pananampalataya.)
* For we live by faith, not by sight. - 2 Corinthians 5:7

4. THE CLARITY OF ONE'S PURPOSE (Linaw ng pagkaunawa.)
* For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. - Ephesians 2:10

WHAT DOES BREAKTHROUGH FAITHFULNESS ENTAIL:
1. TO WALK THE DIFFICULT PATH (Lakaran ang mahirap na daan.)
* But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. - Matthew 7:14

2. TO BECOME UNPOPULAR WITH THE WORLD (Laos sa mata ng mundo.)
* Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. - Romans 12:2

3. TO FACE DIFFICULT QUESTIONS WITH COURAGE (Lakas ng loob na harapin ang mahihirap na tanong.)
* Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. - 1 Peter 5:7

4. TO BECOME A SERVANT TO ALL (Lingkod para sa lahat.)
* Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant. - Matthew 20:26

HOW DOES THE JOURNEY OF THE FAITHFUL LOOK:
1. PEACE IN THE HEART EVEN IN THE MID OF CHAOS (Kapayapaan ng puso sa gitna ng kaguluhan.)
* You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. - Isaiah 26:3

2. PRODUCTIVITY EVEN IN TRYING TIMES (Bunga sa gitna ng pagsubok.)
* Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. - 1 Corinthians 15:58

3. POSITIVITY EVEN AMID TRIALS (Paniniwalang may magandang mangyayaru sa gitna ng kahirapan.)
* And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28

4. THE PRESENCE OF GOD EVEN IN SOLITUDE (Pagsama ng Diyos sa gitna ng pag-iisa.)
* Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." - Hebrews 13:5

CONCLUSION:
In the journey of the faithful, it will always be the heart that matters.
