𝐋𝐍𝐒 𝐒𝐐 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
📍 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐝, 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞 | 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Helen Keller International- PH, in coordination with Department of Health CHD Northern Mindanao, successfully conducted an orientation on the LNS SQ for its extension sites in the Province of Lanao del Norte last April 13, 2026, at the Bacolod Gymnasium.

The activity brought together participants from LGU Bacolod, LGU SND and LGU Munai, along with representatives from various CHDs including Zamboanga, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Northern Mindanao.

The orientation was led by Ms. Noelle Lyn C. Santos, LNS SQ Focal Person, together with Ms. Patricia Isabel Matienzo from Helen Keller International. Ms. Santos discussed the overview of LNS SQ—its importance, administration, and target beneficiaries—while Ms. Matienzo presented the forms and IEC materials.

A role-playing activity followed, allowing Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) to apply their learnings and demonstrate proper approaches in handling real-life community scenarios. Facilitators provided guidance to ensure effective and appropriate responses.

An open forum was also conducted to address participants’ concerns and clarify issues.
