🌸 Empowering Mothers, Nurturing Futures 🌸
Last March 15, 2026, INA-KABABAIHAN: Maternal-Newborn Care Workshop carried forward its mission at the Barangay Estefania Hall, bringing vital knowledge, support, and encouragement closer to mothers in the community.
Alongside Dr. May Irene Rife and Nurse Ana Mercedes M. Lamela, pregnant women, caregivers, and barangay health workers took part in engaging discussions and practical sessions on safe pregnancy, empowered childbirth, and proper newborn care.
This gathering marked another meaningful step toward building confidence among mothers and strengthening community support systems — because informed and supported mothers lay the foundation for healthier generations.
As we continue this journey, we remain committed to uplifting families and creating lasting impact — one workshop, one community, one barangay at a time 💫

IN SYRIA: THE WAR HAS ENDED, BUT THE CRISIS HAS NOT.
Years after the height of the war, millions of Syrians are still trapped in a cycle of displacement, danger, and survival. What peace exists on paper has not translated into safety or dignity for civilians on the ground.
𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲
Around 1 million former refugees and 1.9 million internally displaced Syrians have returned, but nearly 7 million still lack stable shelter.
Returnees often find their communities destroyed, with homes and essential services (including water systems, schools, and clinics) heavily damaged.
Explosive remnants remain widespread, causing over 1,300 deaths and injuries in early 2025.
Continued instability, contamination from unexploded ordnance, and limited resources prevent effective reconstruction.
𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆
Even though major hostilities have ceased, militias still operate in some areas of Syria.
Repeated fighting leads to fresh displacements, injuries, while slowing down rebuilding efforts.
Many areas still face unrest, making life risky for civilians.

Millions depend on humanitarian aid for basic needs: water, food, medicine, fuel, shelter.
The collapse of medical and hygiene systems has made people more prone to disease and unreliable access to food poses many people at risk of malnutrition.
Many children have lost access to education services; meanwhile, learning networks are still damaged or are no longer in operation.
Displaced families frequently go back to risky, poor areas marked by trauma – where stability is rare, while recovery feels out of reach.

Tigray's Silent Emergency: A Call for Protection, Accountability, and Humanitarian Access
Tigray is once again on the brink. Despite the 2022 Pretoria Agreement, renewed clashes between TPLF forces, the federal government-backed interim administration, and reported Eritrean involvement are driving instability in northern Ethiopia. Civilians continue to suffer displacement, restricted humanitarian access, collapsed health systems, and documented human rights abuses, including weaponized sexual violence. The risk of wider regional conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea threatens the Horn of Africa's stability and deepens the humanitarian crisis.
