MTV Video Making Contest & Photography Contest | MECHANICS

📍 The schedule of competition / presentation is on September 26, 2025 (8:00AM–3:00 PM).

📍The contest is open to all Baco National High School SHS Sections ( Grade 11- Grade 12 )
And JHS Sections

📍Each interested section should submit at least 1 entry in any of the following category.

📍Duration of the video will be 3 – 6 minutes, including introduction and credits. (For every 15 seconds overtime, there shall be a deduction of 5 point from the total score.)

📍The following are the category and the music that will be used:

🎬Love of Parents – “Hindi Sapat” by Gloc 9 (Grade 12 only)

🎬LGBTQ Respect – “Ituloy Mo Lang” by Siakol (Grade 12 Only)

🎬Bullying – “Katulad ng Iba” by Gloc (Open for All Grade Level)

🎬Open Category – ( any video with social issues/awareness campaign”) (Open for all SHS Sections)

☑️There is no limit to the number of the members who will appear on the music video.

☑️Any kind of interpretation to the chosen song is allowed (e.g. Lip sync, own interpretation).

☑️Technical assistance from professional and non-professional person outside the school is prohibited, assistance from the adviser or any faculty is allowed.

☑️Any kind of multimedia software is allowed to be used.

☑️Final output should be submitted in MP4 format.

☑️Submission of entries is on or before September 26, 2025 (12:00 pm) only.

☑️Criteria for judging:
a. Creativity - 30%
b. Audio and Visual Quality - 30%
c. Props, Costume and Location - 20%
d. Visual Effects - 20%

SCI-MA-TECH PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST MECHANICS

☑️ THEME: “Innovating the Future: Uniting Science, Mathematics, and Technology for a Brighter Tomorrow”

☑️ DURATION: It will be held on September 23, 2025 1:00pm-3:30pm at Baco National High School.

☑️ PARTICIPANTS: The contest is OPEN to all Baco National High School (Grade 7-12). Strictly maximum one (1) participants per section only.

☑️ SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES: Each participant is allowed to submit a maximum of ONE (1) entry only.

☑️ DEADLINE of submission is September 15,2025 1:00pm-3:30pm. The submission will automatically close and reject any entries that will be submitted after the deadline.

☑️ The entry to be submitted should be an image/photo with a corresponding “photo title” and “photo caption”. The caption must indicate the place where the image was taken, and must have an accurate description of what the photo is about.

☑️ The contest participant is responsible for securing – prior to submission of the entry ‐ consent from concerned parties if the image contains any material or element that is not the participant’s property, or if any person appears in the photo (i.e. subjects of the photo). Sci-Ma-Tech should not ‐ in any way ‐ be held responsible for the contest participant’s inability to secure the necessary permission or consent for their submitted entries.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Photographs should be:
• Created and taken by the contest participant.
• Created and taken using a mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.
• In full color.
• In LANDSCAPE orientation.
• Softcopy of Pictures should be be submitted in JPEG Format together with Separate Text file That will include the Title and Caption of the Picture.
• Taken using the best settings of the mobile device.
• Taken from September 23, 2025 1:00pm-3:30pm.

Photographs should NOT:
• Contain watermarks or any identifying mark.
• Violate person’s rights, including, but not limited to copyrights and privacy.
• Previously submitted or won in any photography contest.

☑️ The criteria for judging will be as follows:
Adherence to the Theme: 25%
Composition: 25%
Photographic Quality: 25%
Visual Impact: 25%

☑️All entries must be pre-numbered. No other identifying marks will be allowed to appear in the artworks.

☑️ Winning and all other entries shall be the property of the Sci-Ma-Tech and will be posted on BNHS Page right away after the competition on September 23, 2025 -4:00pm

☑️ The decisions of the appointed judges will be final. but

☑️By joining this competition, the participants agree with the mechanics of this contest and all the provisions provided.

DIGITAL POSTER AND SLOGAN MAKING CONTEST | MECHANICS

Mechanics of the Competition
📍The schedule of competition is on September 23, 2025 at Computer Laboratory.

📍Duration of the competition is three hours starting 8:00 to 11:00 AM.

📍The competition is open for all BNHS Students (Grade 7-12) with skills in Photo Editing Applications.

☑️The main theme of the contest is: “Innovating the Future: Uniting Science, Mathematics, and Technology for a Brighter Tomorrow”

☑️Materials for the competition will be provided. Materials gathered from Internet or assigned computer unit during the competition are not allowed to be used.

☑️The design should be done in computer using any available photo editing software (e.g. CorelDraw 12, Adobe CS, Adobe Illustrator 10, etc).

☑️ The participant is free to choose his or her preferred software.

☑️A rationale explaining the poster must be included not less than 50 words at the bottom of the final work.

☑️A contestant should submit only one entry.
Final output of the entries should be in JPEG form only with minimum of 2MB file size. Poster size is A4, in any orientation and color.

☑️Concept should be relevant to the theme of the SciMaTech.

☑️It should be original, entertaining and wholesome.

☑️Use of logos and brand names, foul language and violent actions are grounds either for deduction of points or disqualifications.

☑️Judging of the poster shall take place on September 23, 2025.

AWARDING: September 29, 2025

ICT and MATHEMATICS QUIZ BEE | MECHANICS

📍Thee number of items per round is given below :
Easy - 10 (1 point each)
Average – 15 (2 point each)
Difficult - 10 (3 point each)
Clincher (tie-breaking) – 3 (5 point each)

📍Allotted time for each question will be flashed on the screen after the question is given.

📝Each question will be read twice
2 – minute break will be given after each round
Each section in Grade 11 and Grade 12 should send 1 representative / contestant.

🗳️Draw lots will be used to form a pair of contestants

🧮Each pair will use 1 scientific calculator only.

☑️The decisions of the quiz bee consultant is final and irrevocable in case of arguments during contest.

🏆Certificates of participation will be awarded after the contest. (September 29, 2025)
