Dating back to the Spanish colonial era (brought to Apalit around 1844 by the Arnedo-Gonzalez family), the image is uniquely designed as a seated Pope, representing his role as the first Vicar of Christ.Because the original image is highly sacred and carefully preserved, accurate replicas mirror every precise detail of its traditional iconography.
