Dealing with runner’s knee? Try these 4 exercises to start rebuilding it properly. Pain around the front of the knee often comes from poor load tolerance and control rather than just “tightness.” If the knee isn’t supported well by the surrounding muscles, running and single-leg work will keep irritating it. Instead of resting and hoping it settles, the goal is to gradually rebuild strength, control, and confidence under load. Here are 4 exercises to work into your routine: 1. Single-leg TKEs 2. Curtsy step-downs 3. Backward treadmill walks 4. Banded sissy squats Keep the tempo controlled and work within a pain-tolerable range. Progress slowly and consistently rather than jumping intensity too quickly.
