After seeing this bus driver's footwear, we were reminded of a talk show host who liked wearing slippers on TV.

What are the characteristics of the ideal driving footwear?
1) Not too wide so that when suddenly braking, the driver does not accidentally step on the accelerator too
2) Has a closed toe cap so that the driver's toes are unexposed since one of the pedals can get caught between the toes and the insoles
3) Sole is not too thick so that it is easier to feel and feather the pedals
4) Comfortable so that you don't get distracted by any discomfort.

We once had a Defensive Driving Course participant tell us, "Sir, tama yang turo niyo na bawal dapat mag tsineles habang nagmamaneho. Minsan kasi nadisgrasya ako kasi sumabit tsinelas ko sa brake pedal."
