Yesterday, I had the opportunity to do a policy review and policy delivery for one of my seafarer clients. ⚓️

He’s a chef on a cruise ship, working hard away from his family to provide a better future for them. During our conversation, he shared how important it is for him to have peace of mind while onboard , knowing that his family will always have protection no matter what happens.

Moments like this remind me that insurance is more than just a policy. It’s about security, love, and making sure the sacrifices of our modern-day heroes at sea are always protected. 🙏✨

Ito madalas kong naririnig sa mga nakausap kong seafarers and professionals.

Recently, a Chief Mate approached me for an insurance quotation. He shared na noong younger years niya, hindi niya masyado kinonsider ang insurance.

But now, priorities changed.

May anak na siyang 5 years old.
Iniisip na niya ang retirement.
At gusto niyang masigurado na may protection habang kaya pa.

Hindi man siya nagkaroon ng medical issue, ramdam niya yung reality na habang tumatagal, mas tumataas ang premiums at mas maraming financial responsibilities.

Sometimes, financial planning is not about fear.
It’s about maturity, responsibility, and love for the people we want to protect. ⚓🤍

That conversation reminded me again:

Hindi mo kailangan maghintay na may mangyari bago kumuha ng insurance.

The earlier you start, the more affordable and manageable it becomes. 🤍

One of the conversation that stayed with me:

At doon namin pare-parehong na-realize na kahit insured ka, pwede ka pa ring ma-financially drain kapag yung taong mahal mo yung walang coverage.

Hospital bills started piling up.

Savings got affected.

Plans got delayed.

Hindi dahil wala silang preparation, pero dahil isang tao lang yung protected.

Minsan hindi ikaw yung unang magkaka-emergency.
Minsan spouse mo. Parent mo. Anak mo. Breadwinner ng family.

And when they’re not covered, the financial impact usually affects everyone.

Kaya hindi lang dapat tanong na:

Mas importanteng tanong minsan:

Another conversation with a Chief Officer Seafarer. ⚓

I asked him,

“Sir, ano po sa tingin niyo bakit kayo napainquire about insurance?”

He answered,

“Tumatanda na kasi tayo. Kailangan na ng protection, at iniisip ko rin yung retirement ko.”

In 8 years, magreretire na siya.
And during our discussion, we focused first on the importance of having comprehensive insurance coverage ,because protection should always come first before building additional wealth.

After that, saka namin pinag-usapan yung ibang options on how he can prepare additional funds for retirement.

Nakakatuwa makausap yung mga taong hindi lang nagtatrabaho para sa present, kundi nagpaplano rin para sa future nila at ng pamilya nila. 🙏⚓
