This is Paul and Silas... The Bible says they sang praises to God after being thrown in PRISON! 🤔

This is the type of joy Paul spoke about... it's not about everything being "perfect" or "easy".. but the ability to have peace during trials that would crush most people.

When you are close to God and filled with His Spirit.. you can have joy no matter what is happening around you.. even if you were unjustly thrown in prison.

And many people today walk around sad while having freedom!

So whatever Paul and Silas had that allowed them to possess this type of Joy.. THAT has to be the key to enjoying life.

P.S. When God saw their ability to praise even in prison... He shook open those gates and set them free.

"Even when you're hurting, it is never a reason to leave the Church.

Christ was betrayed. Denied. Beaten. Crucified.
By the very people He came to save.
And yet—He stayed.
He fulfilled His mission. He gave His life.
Not because the Church was perfect, but because His love was real.

Real love is not proven when everything is easy, peaceful, or convenient.
Real love is tested in the fire.
It is tested when people misunderstand you, hurt you, or disappoint you—yet you still choose to stay, to love, to serve, and to forgive.

If we claim to love God, we cannot turn our backs on the very Body He calls His own.
The Church isn’t a social club. It’s not about personalities or preferences.
It’s the Bride of Christ—imperfect, yes, but deeply loved by the One who gave everything for her.

You don’t go to church just to receive.
You go because you were called to give—
to build, to edify, to worship, to serve, and to be part of something greater than yourself.

Stop asking, “What can the Church give me?”
Start asking, “What can I give for the Church Christ died for?”

Yes, the Church can be messy.
Yes, people may fail you.
But you’re not there for people—
You’re there because you love Jesus.
And if you truly love Jesus, you’ll love what He loves.

You’ll love His Church.
You’ll stay.
You’ll forgive.
You’ll serve.
You’ll lay down your life—not just your attendance.

Because love that walks away when it’s hurt isn’t Christlike love.
But love that stays—even when it bleeds—looks like Calvary."
