Blessing, Inauguration, and PuroKalusugan in Barangay Bannawag

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Angadanan celebrated the Blessing and Inauguration of the Bannawag Barangay Health Station (BHS), marking another milestone in improving access to quality primary healthcare. Fully funded by the LGU, the facility was equipped with essential medical equipment and furnishings to ensure its readiness in serving the community. The blessing was officiated by Rev. Ernesto Gonzales and attended by municipal officials, barangay leaders, and RHU staff headed by Dr. Princess Faith Penetrante.

Following the inauguration, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Angadanan conducted the PuroKalusugan Program, bringing essential health services directly to the residents of Barangay Bannawag. Led by Dr. Princess Faith Penetrante, together with Dr. Aizel Sacatrapuz (DTTB), HRH personnel, RHU staff, and Barangay Health Workers, the activity provided medical consultations, PhilPEN assessment, laboratory services, immunization, family planning, nutrition services, oral health education, medicine distribution, and free eyeglasses for qualified beneficiaries.

Students also benefited from oral health education, fluoride application, and oral hygiene kits led by Municipal Dentist Dr. Ricabel Tapat. The success of the activity was made possible through the strong support of the LGU, Barangay Officials, and community partners, reflecting Angadanan's commitment to bringing quality, accessible, and people-centered healthcare closer to every barangay.

PuroKalusugan Reaches Barangay Sinabbaran and Inauguration of the Sinabbaran Barangay Health Station

The Municipality of Angadanan marked another milestone in strengthening primary healthcare with the successful conduct of the PuroKalusugan program and the inauguration of the Sinabbaran Barangay Health Station on July 10, 2026, bringing essential health services closer to the people of Barangay Sinabbaran.

The Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Angadanan conducted the PuroKalusugan program, providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to the community. The activity was led by the RHU team, with medical consultations provided by Dr. Princess Faith P. Penetrante, Municipal Health Officer (MHO), and Dr. Aizel Sacatrapuz, Doctor to the Barrios (DTTB), ensuring that residents received quality medical assessment and appropriate treatment.

A wide range of health services was made available, including family planning, prenatal and postpartum care, immunization, deworming, hypertension and diabetes mellitus monitoring, laboratory services, PhilPEN assessment, nutrition services, oral check-ups, distribution of oral health kits, health education, distribution of essential medicines, free eyeglasses, and YAKAP registration.

Adding significance to the day’s activities was the inauguration of the Sinabbaran Barangay Health Station, the fourth of the five Barangay Health Stations scheduled to be inaugurated this year. This achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of the Local Government Unit of Angadanan to ensure that quality primary healthcare services are readily accessible to every Angadanian.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Municipal Mayor Hon. Joelle Mathea Panganiban, Vice Mayor Hon. Lourdes Segarra Panganiban, Dr. Aizel Sacatrapuz (DTTB), RHU staff, HRH Angadanan personnel, barangay officials, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and the residents of Barangay Sinabbaran, whose presence made the occasion even more meaningful.

The success of both the PuroKalusugan program and the inauguration was made possible through the collective efforts of the RHU personnel, headed by Dr. Princess Faith P. Penetrante, May Ann Lacar Mingala-Reyes, Rosan Mae Hilario, the Barangay Officials of Sinabbaran led by Hon. Hector Gammad, together with the BHWs, BNS, HRH personnel, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make these initiatives possible.

These accomplishments stand as a testament to the Local Government Unit’s steadfast commitment to improving the health and well-being of every Angadanian by continuously bringing comprehensive, accessible, and quality healthcare services closer to every barangay.

National Disability Rights Week 2026

In celebration of National Disability Rights Week 2026, the Local Government Unit of Angadanan, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Joelle Mathea Panganiban , distributed wheelchairs to selected beneficiaries as part of its commitment to promoting accessibility, inclusion, and the well-being of persons with disabilities.

This initiative was made possible through the assistance of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Ms. Joycelyn Agustin-silverio and the Rural Health Unit (RHU) led by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Princess Faith P. Penetrante.

PuroKalusugan Brings Expanded Healthcare Services to Barangay Mabuhay

The Rural Health Unit of Angadanan successfully conducted another PuroKalusugan activity in Barangay Mabuhay, bringing essential healthcare services closer to the community and ensuring that residents have access to quality and comprehensive health services.

The activity offered a wide range of services, including medical consultation, immunization, maternal and child health services, family planning, hypertension and diabetes monitoring, health education, nutrition services, dental services, laboratory services, Philhealth YAKAP registration and the provision of necessary medicines and other primary healthcare interventions.

This PuroKalusugan was made even more meaningful with the addition of new services through the deployment of Human Resources for Health (HRH) from the Isabela Provincial Health Office. Residents were able to benefit from specialized services provided by:
Patrick Alan T. Cruz – Physical Therapist
Dr. Jaika E. Sanchez, DMD – Dentist III
Mon Johann P. Villanueva -Nutritionist-Dietitian II

The presence of these healthcare professionals allowed community members to receive physical therapy assessments, dental consultations and oral health services, as well as nutrition counseling further strengthening the delivery of holistic healthcare at the barangay level.

The Municipal Health Office extends its heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated RHU staff, whose unwavering commitment and teamwork continue to make community-based healthcare services possible. PuroKalusugan sa Barangay Lomboy

The Rural Health Unit of Angadanan successfully conducted another PuroKalusugan activity yesterday in Barangay Lomboy, reaffirming its commitment to bringing essential healthcare services closer to every community.

The activity was led by Dr. Aizel Sacatrapuz, Doctor to the Barrios (DTTB), who provided free medical consultations and attended to the health needs of the residents. Along with medical consultations, various health services were rendered, and essential medications were dispensed to clients to ensure the continuity of their treatment and management.

Joining her in delivering health services were Ms. Brig Lazaro Mora , the assigned Barangay Midwife, together with HRH Gift Palattao and HRH Rogene Reyes, who worked hand in hand to ensure that residents were able to access quality healthcare services.

As part of the activity, PhilHealth YAKAP registration was also conducted, allowing eligible residents to be enrolled and benefit from primary healthcare services. This was made possible through the invaluable assistance of the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), whose dedication helped facilitate the smooth implementation of the registration process.

The continued implementation of PuroKalusugan reflects the Rural Health Unit's commitment to promoting preventive healthcare, improving access to essential medical services, and strengthening community-based health programs.
