The second week of July has been declared as the National Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Week. In recognition of the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and to highlight the importance of IPC as a cornerstone of patient and healthcare worker safety, the theme of “IPC: Rising Above and Beyond Adversities” has been chosen in coordination with the Philippine Hospital Infection Control Society, Inc for this year’s celebration.

The Department of Health aims to advocate for the conscious and constant application of IPC principles at all levels of healthcare. Awareness of proper handwashing techniques, social distancing, and appropriate face masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) use are vital interventions that shall curb the spread of infections in health facilities.

In celebration of the 501st anniversary of the Victory at Mactan, the Department of Education, through its External Partnerships Service (EPS), in cooperation with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), brings you a virtual symposium on April 26, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

Hosted by DepEd Schools Division Office of Lapu-Lapu City, the event aims for our teachers and learners to fully recognize the value of historical events, and apply their wisdom, integrity, and love for this country in our own simple ways.
