Pursuant to Executive Order No. 34, Series of 2026, issued by Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao, MMPA, and the declaration of the province-wide State of Calamity by the Provincial Government of Sarangani, classes at all levels in Alabel National Science High School remain SUSPENDED from June 15-17, 2026, and until further notice.

Furthermore, the Province of Sarangani has been placed under the Emergency In-School Level “HINTO” status as declared by the Department of Education Regional Office XII. Under the HINTO level, all academic learning activities and classes are completely and temporarily halted to prioritize the safety, well-being, and recovery of learners and school personnel affected by the recent 7.8-magnitude earthquake. This reinforces and necessitates the continued suspension of classes throughout the province.

All students, parents, and stakeholders are advised to monitor official announcements from the school and local authorities for further updates and instructions.

‎The 7.8 magnitude earthquake was a tragedy that millions of citizens across different parts of Mindanao will forever remember. Everyone was shaken by the disaster—losing access to food, water, and proper shelter.

‎Hence, yesterday, June 13, 2026, four organizations extended their helping hands and kind embraces to the people of Malapatan, assuring them that they did not have to face this challenge alone. Despite the aftershocks and the rain experienced throughout the day, the distribution of food and water continued, and smiles could still be seen on the faces of those who received assistance.

Every donation, no matter how small or large the amount, carries hope to those affected by the earthquake. In times of hardship, kindness becomes strength, and generosity helps communities slowly rebuild what they have lost.
