𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | NISU Ajuy hosts 3rd Pasundayag Hospitality and Tourism Skills Olympics

The Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) Ajuy Campus organizes the 3rd University-Wide Pasundayag Hospitality and Tourism Skills Olympics today, May 13, 2026, at the NISU Ajuy Covered Court, drawing enthusiastic participation from hospitality and tourism students across the university system.

With the theme “From Tradition to Innovation: Empowering Skills for a Sustainable Hospitality and Tourism Future,” the ongoing event highlights the dynamic blend of cultural heritage and modern industry practices as students showcase their competencies in various skill-based competitions.

The campus venue is filled with energy as contestants, faculty members, and supporters gathered early in the day for the formal opening program. The event underscores NISU’s commitment to experiential learning, where students are given the opportunity to demonstrate real-world hospitality and tourism skills in a competitive yet educational environment.

Behind every printed word is the courage to stand for the truth. When the pen is forcibly silenced, our origins are gradually erased, and the nation goes astray in the darkness of misinformation. A free press is not just a right of the few but the foundation upon which our freedom stands.

This 33rd year of World Press Freedom Day, we honor the guardians of democracy—the journalists who remain undaunted in the face of threats and remain the voice of the voiceless. They serve as the conscience of our society and the light in shaping our future.

Let us recognize and protect them. Let us not allow the fire of truth to die out. Support the free press and fight for freedom.
