Behind every printed word is the courage to stand for the truth. When the pen is forcibly silenced, our origins are gradually erased, and the nation goes astray in the darkness of misinformation. A free press is not just a right of the few but the foundation upon which our freedom stands.

This 33rd year of World Press Freedom Day, we honor the guardians of democracyβ€”the journalists who remain undaunted in the face of threats and remain the voice of the voiceless. They serve as the conscience of our society and the light in shaping our future.

Let us recognize and protect them. Let us not allow the fire of truth to die out. Support the free press and fight for freedom.
