Thank you to everyone who joined us at 2026 in Austin for Stuttering & Disability in Film, Tech, Education, and Media.

We gathered at the Arthur M. Blank Center - - at UT Austin for a morning of panels, film clips, and conversation across film, education, technology, and advocacy. Speakers and participants explored how stuttering and disability are represented on screen, supported in classrooms and workplaces, and shaped by emerging technology.

The program featured conversations on storytelling beyond “overcoming” narratives, clips from the Untitled St. Stephen documentary, and highlights from The Ascent and The Way We Move.

2025 Wrapped!

Thank you for showing up for Proud Stutter with your time, your trust, and your care.

This work exists because people chose to share their stories, lend their expertise, volunteer their energy, and stand alongside one another in spaces that are not always easy. Proud Stutter is a place where lived experience matters, where speech diversity is respected, and where voices that are often overlooked are centered with intention.

Whether you joined us through the podcast, attended an event, supported our film work, offered clinical insight, helped shape advocacy efforts, or simply listened and shared our work with someone else, your contribution mattered. Every conversation, collaboration, and moment of care helped grow what Proud Stutter is today.

None of this work is simple. Talking openly about stuttering, disability, identity, and power requires patience and courage. But together, we have built something grounded in honesty, accountability, and community. At the end of this year, we can look at what we have created and know that it was done with integrity.

Proud Stutter belongs to the people who make it possible. You are the reason we continue to show up, to listen closely, and to push for cultural and structural change around how stuttering is understood.
As we move into a new year, I am deeply grateful and hopeful. There is more work ahead, and there is so much potential in what we are building together.
