Eid Mubarak

Today is the first day of Eid al-Adha
A time where Muslim people come together and share a symbolic sacrifice with loved ones and those in need.
The last few days I have spent in Oman visiting slaughterhouses and facilities.
Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and hospitable 🙌
This period is peak demand time especially given that fresh fresh meat is the preferred.

ESCAS (Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System) standards must remain fully in place at all times, these standards often require different techniques/ handling and equipment than what would be used for local and other imported animals. I am proud to report that everyone has been willing to meet those standards even though it can provide challenges for them.

Great to see the huge demand for Australian sheep too.
