Today marks the successful culmination of more than a year and a half of dedicated effort, during which trials were conducted to treat oil sludge and other hazardous waste streams in the furnaces of Oman Cement Company. Through this process, PGS Group has introduced Oman’s first sustainable oil sludge treatment technology ( where oily sludge is converted to alternative fuel for cement factories), marking a significant milestone for the country’s waste management sector.
After successfully completing the trials, verifying the required technical readings, and securing approvals from the relevant authorities in the Sultanate, we have reached this important moment with the signing of this agreement.
This initiative reflects our vision of transforming waste into a valuable resource — truly a step forward from Waste to Energy. ♻️⚡
