A Huge Thank You to Our Community
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by at New World Three Parks and Mitre 10 over the weekend to support the Cold Kids Campaign by buying a raffle ticket, grabbing a BBQ sausage, making a donation, or simply stopping for a chat.
The weather on both Saturday and Sunday was less than ideal, with temperatures hovering close to zero, but that certainly didn't dampen the spirit. Everyone was incredibly supportive, cheerful, and generous.
A special mention has to go to Sunday's BBQ, which did a roaring trade! We suspect the aroma of warm sausages and real fried onions (definitely not the frozen stuff!) may have had something to do with it.
Most of all, we loved the opportunity to talk with locals and visitors about the Cold Kids Campaign and why it's so important. Every raffle ticket sold, sausage purchased, and donation will helps us support locals struggling to keep warm over winter with a helping hand.
We had an absolute blast and are so grateful to be part of such a caring and community-minded place.

A Huge Thank You to Warbirds Over Wānaka and Local Helicopter Owners
We're incredibly grateful to Warbirds Over Wānaka and a group of local helicopter owners who have donated $6,000 to Community Link's Cold Kids Campaign following this year's successful airshow.
The Cold Kids Campaign is here to help local families stay warm through winter by providing support with power bills, firewood, warm clothing, and blankets when they're needed most.
With the current inversion layer and cold snap reminding us just how challenging winter can be for some households, this incredibly generous contribution will make a real difference for families across the Upper Clutha.
A big thank you to Warbirds Over Wānaka and the helicopter owners involved: John Kokshoorn, Lloyd Ferguson, Peter Moore, Tony Williams, Alpine Helicopters, and Central South Island Helicopters for their generosity and commitment to the Upper The Upper Clutha Messenger
It's support like this that helps ensure local children and families stay warm, safe, and well throughout winter. Thank you for helping make a difference. Warbirds Over Wanaka

🌿 Built for Seasons – Cycle Smart for Rural Women 🌿
Rural women are some of the strongest, most capable people we know, but that doesn't mean we have to push through every day at the same pace.
The Built for Seasons – Cycle Smart for Rural Women workshop, is a practical and down-to-earth day exploring how your menstrual cycle can influence your energy, focus, mood, and capacity, and how to work with your body rather than against it.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn practical strategies that fit real rural life, connect with other local women, and leave with tools you can put into practice straight away. You'll gain a better understanding of the four phases of your cycle, recognise your body's cues, and create your own personalised cycle support plan.
These workshops don't come around often, so if you've been curious about learning more about your wellbeing, now is the perfect time to sign up. If you are interested in coming along but not thinking this is for you. The workshop is not just for women working on the land, you can be working from home, at home or in town. We live in a rural community so this, is for everyone as we are all rural too.
