🌧️ Heavy Rain – Be Prepared 🌧️
A band of heavy rain is moving across the region, bringing the potential for surface flooding, reduced visibility, and hazardous travel conditions.
✅ How to prepare
• Clear gutters, drains, and stormwater grates around your property.
• Secure outdoor furniture and loose items.
• Avoid driving through flooded roads, if it's flooded, forget it.
• Stay up to date with official weather forecasts
⚠️ During heavy rain
• Slow down and increase following distances when driving.
• Be aware of rising streams, rivers, and low-lying areas.
• Never walk, swim, or drive through floodwaters.
Stay safe, look out for your neighbours, and monitor local updates as conditions develop.
