This little race mare has been struggling with a NPA . Today i fitted Mustad concord xtra 2 degree wedge hinds with heart bar inserts from and , this will improve the angle and she’ll be able to race in this setup.

St Croix aluminium hinds nailed on with Hammer Head 1 fitted on this galloper. Side clips to avoid an old abscess blow out.

Today I collaborated with a local vet to help a young racehorse with locking stifles. Trimming alone created a more positive palmer angle and as a one time application I fitted concord xtra plates with 3 degree 3D pads to increase the Palmer angle further,along with comfort mix impression material. I also eased the break over at the toe slightly on the ground surface of the shoe.His his exercise will alter slightly and include hill work to try and strengthen the area around the affected stifle.

Great to get my hands on the new Mustad Derby Thin Wall steels from at the end of last year.

Nailed up a nicely with a range of nails (Concave 3, FJ1,Derby E4sl) and were a great fit.

They are currently available in toe clipped fronts with the hind pattern having both a side clip and toe clip option.
