Just for a change ..some dark and emotive 😆

I’ve realised my photography mirrors the way I move through life.
I always lean toward darker, moodier work.
More tangible, more feels, less fluff.
I’ve never been good at staying on the surface of things.
Not in conversation, connection or art. ✨️

Iv gone back to the beginning again creatively with my mahi. This wknd shot on one of the fist lenses that i bought (Sony 35/2.8) It was cheap (for a lens) and i have since bought the meke upgraded version but i always loved the look the simple vesion gave me.
Its so important to stay curious, block out the noise of what we should be using/ progressing to and just do what we love.

I'm thinking of offering half day mentorships, to play and chew the fat on all things photography, would there be any intest?

These two had me a little emotional yesterday, pregnancy is already such a powerful threshold for a woman, but witnessing a father so present, intentional, and connected in that moment of exchange of ha (the breath of life) and mauri (life forse) was a beautiful thang. ✨️

And in the beauty of the sky, the land the sea, i come home again, over and over.
Dance and sink into the tangible. All else is noise.

At peace and on fire 🔥

Yesterday myself and the beautiful .hamdorf took 7 women up into the hills and down into the forest to create at this beautiful waterfall.
It was chaotic and fun and i think pretty empowering to be doing a shoot in sisterhood with other women along side.
