Clifftop Connection

Perched on a clifftop, this home connects deeply to its landscape. Spaces fold around an irregular site, embracing a central courtyard with outdoor dining and a swimming pool that draws in light and reflection. The eastern living wing captures panoramic views stretching along the Red Beach shoreline.

Native Pohutukawa trees and dramatic cliff face rock formations inspired the design from the very beginning. Natural stacked travertine stone contrasts against dark vertical timber, while a timber screen filters light and privacy at the entry. Here, architecture and landscape become one.
