AGM announcement:

A CALL FOR SUPPORT.

The Wasps Rugby Club, invites all our members or non-members who wish to join us to our AGM at St Michael's Rugby Club, Rotorua on SUNDAY 15TH FEBRUARY 2026 at 1pm.

We are looking for both new committee members and new members.

If you have any spare time to help support the club, however small, even a few hours, we would love to hear from you.

The Wasps Clubroom has finally got barstools, and the clubroom looks great! Come along and join us for the Fiji vs Samoa game at the clubroom on Saturday 6th September.

We are very happy to announce the winners of the Wasps Rugby 2025 raffle winners, which was drawn in the Rotorua Stadium Wasps clubroom on Thursday 21st August.

Thank you all for your continued support, every cent raised, goes back into supporting the local communities teams.

Another great night, and we look forward to seeing you all again on Saturday 6th September for the Samoa vs Fiji game.

The Wasps would like to acknowledge the passing of "MR WORLD CUP" Dick Littlejohn.
What an amazing contribution to our game.
Our condolences to the Littlejohn family and friends at this sad time.

With the passing of R.J. “Dick” Littlejohn, the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union lost their longest serving member who had been involved both through the amateur and professional era's.

1974-86: BOPRU President
1987-89: BOPRU Chairman
1990: Honoured with BOPRU Life Membership
2008: Took over as BOPRU Patron (with the passing of Eric Pinker)

NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION
1981-88: NZRU Council
1984-85: All Blacks Manager (To Australia, Fiji & Argentina)
1987: Director of the Board of Rugby World Cup Ltd
2011: Inducted into the International Rugby Board Hall of Fame
2014: NZRU Steinlager Salver Award for outstanding Service to Rugby
2018: Honoured with NZRU Life Membership

Near on 73 years service to the game of rugby, a legend in the Bay of Plenty rugby world. Rest in peace Dick Littlejohn you have earnt your rest.
