What an epic trip to start the new year!

3 nights of fly camping and 4 epic days of hunting!

Plenty of lessons were learned this trip, not just hunting related but mentally as well!

One key thing was to accept whatever has happened to you. It may be good, it may be bad but if you choose to accept it you can move on and deal with it!

We saw plenty of animals this trip and I was very grateful that the cards were stacked in my favour as we were walking out on the first day of the new year!

As we climbed a ridge there were two stunning Red stags feeding away on a scree only a couple hundred metres away. With a quick set up into a comfy shooting position, I managed to bag for my first red stag the year!

I’m absolutely excited to be heading out on more trips like this in 2022!
