Tbh the absolute best thing you can do for your muscles is use them more, especially resistance training. When I’m sore I train and it helps a lot. But when you’re burnt out or in your head too much or have painful tightness that just won’t go away, probably because of stress and your body being in a state of flight or fight too much. Then you probably need a deep relaxation massage to let your body have a break and do the healing it’s capable of doing.
There’s 3 most common things my clients will say after their massage, “that was amazing”, “I was so relaxed” and “that’s the best massage I’ve ever had”.
Every good thing you do for your body is an investment into your overall well-being. And please.. slow the f*ck down, it’s not a race.
Also, diaphragmatic breathing, meditation and nature walks are free.
