Finally found some time to assemble the PPG gearset into our spare AP2 gearbox housing.

Managed to get our hands on a damaged PPG dog gear set thanks to Lone Wolf Racing , after some replacement parts from Pfitzner Performance Gearbox - PPG , some Laser welding by Pulse Laser Welding New Zealand, superfinishing and stealth coating by Super Finishing Ltd this set is now good as new and ready to be driven in anger again.

Built this bad boy with a full OEM rebuild kit, plus our full detent kit and tidied up the AP2 housings in the media blasting cabinet.

For those with keen eyes you might spot the welded pins on the selector shafts, for the rest of you there is a zoomed in image.
The OEM roll pins were removed and solid ground finish pins were welded in, this was part of the reason for the damage to the gearset before we got our hands on it, can't have that happing again.

Once the f22c is assembled this will make its way into the shop car.
