AUT OffGrid Outdoor Club

Our first overnight Hut Trip of the year! Come and join us in the Kaimai ranges as we tackle Te Rereatukahia Hut on an advanced 9km traverse across the ranges. We are looking to be walking for about 6 hours, possibly in the dark, so adherence to the gear list and a good level of fitness will be crucial.

End of Year Trip Highlights!

What. A. Trip! Our crew started off with a night at the beautiful Kai Iwi Lakes campground with crystal clear water and a beautiful sunset! We then headed off to Ahipara and soaked in some rays while hanging out at a BBQ! Had a cheeky visit to the Te P**i Sand dunes with a lil off-roading on the side too and caught Cape Reinga at sunset which made for some life changing views 😍. Our last spot had us in the picturesque Taputaputa bay where the bugs caught us lacking a lil bit but at that point nothing could stop the good vibes as we thanked the far far north for an amazing trip! This one belongs in the Offgrid history books people!
