Most factories use chemicals for their daily production purposes. Anyone handling these chemicals must read and understand safety data on all chemicals before using them.
If your workmate gets exposed to a chemical injury, it can be pretty severe. So, call 111 immediately and follow these First Aid treatments to help out until the medics arrive:
• Remove the patient to a safe area.
• Remove chemical & contaminated clothing/jewellery ASAP.
• Brush powdered chemicals from the skin.
• Run cool water onto the affected area for at least 1 hour, continuing until the stinging stops. Also, make sure you avoid transferring these chemicals to unaffected areas.

• Cough: This is the most common symptom, dry and persistent. Usually occurs at night and after exercise.
• Wheezing: a high pitched wind blowing noise on breathing out.
• Shortness of breath: Breathing fast and shallow, feels like not enough air to breathe
• Chest tightness: feels like someone standing on the chest, not allowing it to expand freely when breathing
• Raised shoulders: as breathing becomes more difficult, the neck muscles tense, causing shoulders to rise.

5. Maybe become confused and/or distressed
