If Canva has ever made you want to throw your laptop out the window...

This one’s for you. 😅

Seriously though, most people who come to my workshops aren’t designers. They’re small business owner or have admin and marketing roles, who know they need to create content and documents, but Canva feels overwhelming, frustrating, or just plain time-consuming.

If you’ve ever said:

😩 “I hate Canva.”
😭 “Aaaaghhhhh”
🤷‍♀️ “I don’t know how to...”
⏰ “This is taking forever.”

Then you’re exactly who I created these workshops for.

Together we’ll simplify the process, cover the foundations of good design, and help you create content with more confidence and a lot less frustration.

📍 Napier - 26 June
📍 Havelock North - 2 July

I’d love to help you go from “Aaaaggghhhh!” to “Actually... that was easier than I thought.”

Book via the link in my bio for your preferred date/loction.

A little peek into one of the first steps behind almost every project I work on...

Before I jump into the Adobe suite.

Before I open Canva.

Before I start designing logos, websites, content or social media...

I research.

And a big part of that process is building Pinterest moodboards, and more often than not the client will have supplied one based on the onboarding prompts in their questionnaire.

I’m not looking for things to copy, more like looking for clues to put my new puzzle together.

Clues about how a brand should feel.

The colours, textures, photography style, emotions, environments and little details that help create a visual direction before a single design decision is made.

The four examples in this carousel all started with Pinterest research, but each resulted in something completely different because each client had different goals, personalities and audiences.

For me, moodboarding is where strategy and creativity start to meet 🤍

It’s one of my favourite parts of the process because it’s often the moment a client’s vision starts becoming something tangible.

Do you build Pinterest boards for your business, home projects or future ideas? Because I refuse to believe I’m the only one with at least 52 boards saved. 🙈

The Canva Workshop feedback is in and the odometers (? Is that what they’re called 🤔 ), are high!

After this workshop I felt so good and the feedback reflects this feeling. 🫶🏼

A couple of my fav comments…

“The brand kit detailing was great, I feel much more organised now.” Emily

“You explained things really well and clearly” Carys

If this is a confidence boost to do more then I don’t know what is.

If you’re keen to jump on my last Canva Workshop for 2025 click the link in bio and grab your spot!
