NZSBK 2026

Round 3 for me was a bit of a disaster and one I won’t be looking back on in a hurry. I was always told that if I had nothing good to say, say nothing at all. Hence the lack of updates and posts at Hampton Downs.
Race 1 we lost our 2nd place points due to 2 protest towards our bike. 1 protest went through and to the rules it was correct. I don’t really want to go into detail about but I do want to mention it happened and we accept that we were in the wrong.

Race 2 I unfortunately had a big high side and landed infront of my bike which then decided to give me one more smack as it skated into me as it came to a stop.

Race 3 was going to hurt as both knees had started to swell up and limit movement but as soon as the lights went out good old adrenaline kicked in and I had a really for race for 3rd.
Hampton Downs I only walked away with 13 points out of the maximum 76. This really hurt our championship chances.

Round 4 at Taupo I put the focus back to having fun and we achieved just that. It was always going to be a battle to run at the front with how sore and limited my movement was but I believe we gave it a good nudge.
Race 1 we crossed the line in 4th after a good run in 2nd and 3rd at the start.
Race 2 I dropped off a lot in the 14 lap TT race but in the final few laps a few riders dropped out and came home in 2nd for the TT.
Race 3 I had the most fun I have had in a long time. Racing for the lead for 80% of the race and again dropping slowly to 3rd in the final laps.

So for 2026 I finish the series in 3rd. (My 4th 3rd overall and now 7th top 3)
Congratulations to Rogan and the M1 team. M1 have put a superbike on the grid for many many years and if it wasn’t for people like Moggy a lot of riders wouldn’t have the chance to swing a leg over a superbike.

Massive thanks you to KMD and all involved. The highs and lows are made so much better in a great environment.
Also my personal sponsors for the continued support.

Time for a little break with some flat track and Maize paddock racing to fill the addiction then back into talks once dates are released for 2027 on if we can get things lined up for another go at being NZ #1

It’s guys like these that make sure the 43 is on the grid. Many thanks Daz. They also do amazing work so get in touch if you want your machine to be in its prime.
