It's the final countdown!

Jono has covered over 1,300kms, with 58kms to go!

Coming around Cape Palliser will be no easy task, but with Wellington in sight Jono's predicted to finish later this week.

From there, Jono will walk to Parliament to deliver the Swim4TheOcean call to decision makers - a message backed by a growing wave of public support to end bottom trawling.

Congratulations to Stu!

Stu is not only a world-class welder but also one of New Zealand’s best sports shooters. Competing last week at the NZ National Championship, Stu took home:

• NZ Single Rise Championship
• High Gun / High Overall Winner
• Mackintosh Team High Gun

Today we celebrated not only Stu’s shooting achievements, but also an incredible milestone — over 25 years as part of the Stabi family! 👏

Thanks for sticking with us, Stu. Here’s to 25 more!

The final push is on for Jono Ridler and the Swim4Theocean team.

Jono has approx. 213kms to go, and although he is on the home stretch to Wellington, battling jellyfish stings and water temperature below 16 degrees, it’s not going to be easy.

Jono is swimming to end bottom trawling on all seamounts – at home and on the high seas – by the end of 2027, and to activate a rapid transition away from bottom trawling entirely 🌊
