Ok guys been a couple of good days. Real quick wrap up
Paul has managed to take out the last two stages and moves into yellow by the slimiest of margins. Eion is proving to be a bad smell that just won’t go away and is certainly in the hunt heading into last week. Across the field the distance is tight. A couple of catch up stages may bring one or two back in the mix.
Ginge is looking good in green and is turning in some consistent performances and could well be hard to beat.
Be interesting to see who has a little zip left for the last 6 stages
Stage 7 and the peloton looked relaxed as it meandered across the French countryside. The spirits were high and the chat was top notch with many a world problem solved right there in the peloton.
Things soon got serious heading into the first Kom with Cam picking up 1st but almost immediately being stripped of his points for an earlier indiscretion that caught the eye of the race director. (Word on the street is drugs) this left Paul to pick up 3 from Ginge and then the birthday boy Tommo
The pace was high and a couple looked in danger as they hovered in and out of time cut territory. Jamie was the first to have a crack on the last climb but with minutes to go a fast moving 3 containing Paul, Ginge and Eion went for it right to the line with Ginge just managing to hold of the other two to take the win in what can only be described as a very aggressive finishing sprint
