Ant Hill Forge

Over a year since i got to NZ and I've quenched my first blades here. 2 damascus knives I'm working on.

Getting closer to actually making a knife... Welded up this stainless quench tank today... Hopefully getting my steel this afternoon and then the making can start

The big move is just 2 weeks away. I'm immigrating to New Zealand and this is soon to be the new home of Ant Hill Forge. It's a humble little space to work in for the mean time.

I want to thank all my South African followers, clients and students for the last 3 years. It's been great meeting you, teaching you and settling you knives. I hope you'll keep following my endeavors.

So these are officially done... 16 piece steak knife set... 1070 steel, leadwood and giraffe bone handles.

Forge lit for the last time here in SA, the next time it's lit will be in New Zealand... Kinda emotional...

8 steak knives are done... Next onto the forks

Sadly won't be exhibiting this year, but I'm Def going to pop in to see the blades and my friends. A great show if knives are your thing!!!
