Lunn Racing and Breeding
Over the last six weeks (late April through early June 2026),
stallions belonging to the elite Family 2-n tail-female lineage have experienced an extraordinary, boundary-defying purple patch.
The primary engines behind this global black-type surge are Darley's champion sire Night of Thunder and Coolmore's global phenomenon Wootton Bassett (both belonging to the 2-n family through their respective dams, Forest Storm and Balladonia).
Group 1 Victories Constitution River (by Wootton Bassett) – Captured the historic Group 1 Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) at Chantilly. Handed a brutal wide draw, he swept down the straight to secure the classic by three-quarters of a length.
Providence (by Wootton Bassett) – Won the Group 1 Queensland Derby at Eagle Farm. This marked a monumental milestone as the stallion's first Group 1 winner from his debut Australian-conceived crop.
Portfolio Duration (by Night of Thunder) – Earned her first top-flight win in the United States by surging home to win the Group 1 New York Stakes at Saratoga.
Group 2 Victories Nighttime (by Wootton Bassett) – Bounced back to his absolute peak by winning the upgraded Group 2 Prix Paul de Moussac over 1400m at ParisLongchamp, cementing his path toward the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat.
Wootton Verni (by Wootton Bassett) – Continued a brilliant Australian autumn/winter campaign by taking out the Group 2 Neville Sellwood Stakes in Sydney.
Group 3 Victories
Ombudsman (by Night of Thunder) – Secured a dominant win in the Group 3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown, booking his ticket as one of the leading older horse favorites for Royal Ascot.
Hawk Mountain (by Wootton Bassett) – Won the Group 3 Prix de Guiche in France before reinforcing his form by running an exceptional second to his stablemate in the French Derby.
Estrange (by Night of Thunder) – Claimed her third career pattern victory by easily cruising away with the Group 3 Lester Piggott Stakes.
Pallaton (by Wootton Bassett) – Struck for the Southern Hemisphere wing of the family line, winning the Group 3 Zeditave Stakes in Melbourne.
Napoleonic (by Wootton Bassett) – Clinched a tough running of the Group 3 Red Anchor Stakes at Moonee Valley.
And not to Forget Fireball Miss winning the Queensland Oaks from this family SAT THREE WIDE THE TRIP AND DESTROYED THEM....

Quick Look Back at the Champion Australian Sire "The Roach Back" Century, Son of 2-N Stallion Better Boy as appearing in "Khanshe"
the champion Australian sprinter and sire Century was known to have a "roach back" (a convex upward arching of the spine). Despite this physical conformation fault, which can sometimes limit flexibility, it did not hinder his racing ability and he became a successful sire.
Key Details About Century's Conformation:
Roach Back: Century was known to have a distinct roach back, which is an outward curvature of the spine, often in the lumbar region.
Performance: He was a brilliant sprinter, known for winning the 1973 Newmarket Handicap and 1974 Lightning Stakes at Flemington.
Sire Career: Despite the deformity, which once caused a hesitation for a potential investor, he became a "fabulous" and successful stallion.
Winnings: 29 Starts: 11 - 9 - 3, A$172,530

Australian Champion Sire 1978. 44 SWs. Sire of Double Century, Euclase, Rubiton & Stage Hit etc.
Obviously with the Bedouins contributing 81% Scientifically through DNA of all Stallions at Stud Globally at the Moment, this isnt Just better than the All Blacks 77% win Rate the Equivalent would be the All Blacks having to play in EVERY Rugby match at international level globally and win at a Better Rate than they do now, Betting against Bedouin Breeding is Less Profitable than betting against the All Blacks
