Doesnt the universe have amazing timing?
So this is our week off, we shut the salon down and actually get a break. Its a great time to get appointments done for me. So yesterday I had a check up at the dentist.
My last wisdom tooth is still there, apparently the angle is ok, so lets leave it and keep an eye on it.
I need a clean, and we get that scheduled.
Then at dinner last night, I had a problem.
See, when I was 12, I biked to school and had a crash, breaking two teeth. One of these teeth is capped, I think. And that cap, fell off. Or broke off. Im not actually sure. But it means I have a funny smile. My denist can see me this avo and we'll put a plan together.
Cross your fingers for me... I don't think I can handle that smile.

I posted a picture on Unique Skin and Body this avo, where I was surprised at how much I looked like my brother. And while a lot of friends and some relatives have commented over the years, that we look related, I honestly can't say I have ever seen him in a photo of me.
But the skin texture and the hair line on the picture definitely looked like my brother, and not how I 'see' myself.
Has anyone else had a moment like that? Sharing the pic in question here for reference and a selfie that is definitely me.

Unexpected power issues mean its basically a day at home. Rearranged an appointment, so I don't have to go back out. Its a chance to catch up on some admin and maybe do some videos for next week. Meanwhile, my lamington from Volare Bread & Other Baked Goods makes the perfect morning tea.
Also, thank you to the team at Jingles Hair Design ( International Award Winning Salon) for moving my 4pm to a morning appointment,so I don't have to go out again.

What do I do when I'm not inserting a needle into hair follicles?
I'm inserting needle into my embroidery.
This is 2 years and 7 months work. I estimated 5 years for this project, so we'll have to see how that goes.
Finished project will be about 130cm x 100cm, give or take.

I have been surrounded by music throughout my life. This evening, I am accompanying my family to The Pink Floyd Experience as part of a Christmas celebration for my mother, which also doubles as a family excursion.

Ive been talking about Skin Essentials on Unique Skin and Body so lets talk about what I do.
Some nights I'm reading until late so just wipe my fave with a warm cloth. But most nights, its a wash with Ruby Crystal Cleanser, by Roccoco Botanicals. Toning is next and I alternate between Roccoco Hydrating Treatment Essence and Environ DermaLac. Then teeth.
Last is my moisturiser. Environ Skin Care AVST 5, Roccoco Eruption Emulsion and Clarifying C serum every night.
Other serums if Ive washed properly and if Im feeling it.

Late to bed, but for a good cause.
We were supporting the Hamilton Cosmopolitan Club who were hosting the Sisters United drag show.
I wish I could tell you how good the performances were, but I was too busy looking after our amazing guests. Sorcha and I were on the small bar with another couple staff members and had so much fun. I think the crowd were having a good time.
This was our second year helping and all I can say is, bring on next year!

Its a weekend at Taupo International Motorsport Park. We have 4 karts in our side of the garage, but look at our otherside.
Our good friend Alec is finally racing his 1971 Mazda Capella reproduction (?) of a car previously driven by Yoshimi Katayama. And yes, I copied that from the nifty board.

Where are you spending your ANZAC Day?

I'm not one for Easter, but ANZAC, that has meaning.
Nothing flashy but hopefully a cool look.

Done a bit of work making videos, popped on some moisturiser and washing is on. Time for a drink and a read.
These Moodi sodas are pretty good. They help with gut and digestive health. Should pair well with my book and some music.
