SHGC Netball - Hamilton

This past Sunday our 10A Netball team traveled to Morrinsville to participate in a fundraising tournament.

The team ended up playing for 3rd/4th in the 10A grade. Narrowly going down by 1 point in the final to Mt Maunganui Junior Development.

10A played with great heart and improved consistently throughout the day.

An absolute highlight was watching the spontaneous connection form with the Ohaupo Yr7 Mini Cane's team. After cheering them on from the sideline in the morning, the Mini Cane's decided to return the favor and brought the loudest sideline support, joining in team cheers and really lefting the energy for SHGC. This resulted in the teams moving back and forth to support each other throughout the tournament. (Ohaupo Mini Cane's and SHGC pictured together below). ❤️ 🤍🖤

A massive congratulations goes to Melissa Curran (Year 13) who earlier this week passed her Umpire Zone Theory! 🎉

This is such a great achievement and rewards her years of hard work and commitment! 💪
