🥳JUNIOR INTERCLUB IS BACK!!!

After a successful first year in 2023, Junior Interclub is back for 2024.

With more rounds (11) being played across more clubs (8 different clubs), we are excited to see even more juniors participating in our 2024 Junior Interclub.

Open to graded (enter via isquash) and ungraded (enter via email) juniors. It is an awesome opportunity to play against players of a similar level from other clubs (guarenteed 2 matches per round against players from other clubs).

Earn points for your club through participation (5 points per round played) and playing (1 point per set won). The club with the most points at the end of the 11 rounds will be awared the Squash Waikato prizegiving - last year Aria Squash Club came out on top due to the number of juniors who consistently turned up and played their hearts out each round.

Over the next 24 hours some improvements will be made to the SquashLevels algorithm based on feedback and observations over the first month of live action 🔧

Players may notice an increase in their Level and possibly grade, particularly in the lower levels, in MySquash over the weekend as these are written in and grading bands are adjusted accordingly.

Why does my level change and I’m not even playing? The answer is calibration!

SquashLevels is a global system and part of its nightly processing is to calibrate the levels of players across clubs, regions, countries and even time. This process chips away at the levels of players as groups, whether up or down, with the goal to ensure that player levels are equivalent across the board.

The changes each night are very small and, for those playing regularly, they will largely go unnoticed but, if you take a break and then come back, you can find your level has changed over that time and it may be more obvious.
