A huge congratulations to three of Card Merchant Dunedin's own who represented the South in style at the New Zealand National Championships this weekend at Card Merchant Wellington!

An incredible achievement saw all three players battle their way into the Top 8, meaning Dunedin players claimed 3 of the 8 spots available in the elimination rounds.

Elijah and Sam's runs came to an end in the Top 8, while Liam continued his impressive performance all the way through to the Top 4 before narrowly falling just short of the finals.

Making a Top 8 at a National Championship is no small feat, and to have three Card Merchant Dunedin regulars achieve it at the same event is something we're incredibly proud of.

A big thank you as well to the team at Card Merchant Wellington for hosting what looks to have been a fantastic event. Running a National Championship is a huge undertaking, and it's great to see events like this bringing players together from across New Zealand and helping our community continue to grow.

Congratulations again to Liam, Elijah, and Sam on an outstanding result and for representing the Dunedin community so well. We can't wait to see what comes next!

After an amazing weekend of play and ten hard-fought rounds, we finally have our Top 8 players for the 2026 New Zealand Flesh and Blood National Championship.

Within the next few hours, a new National Champion will be crowned.

Can we get a huge round of applause for these eight players, who have battled their way through an incredibly competitive field to earn their place in the Top 8?

Once again, thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend, whether you're competing, judging, or cheering from home. Your support is what makes events like this worth running.
