Everyday kitchen items became treasures for exploration today! 🥄🥣 Through heuristic play, our tamariki discovered, investigated, and learned using familiar objects, fostering curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Our tamariki explored a range of reflective objects as part of our Matariki celebrations, inspired by Hiwa-i-te-rangi. This sensory experience encouraged curiosity, discovery, and exploration while connecting with the themes of reflection and aspirations represented by Hiwa-i-te-rangi.

Our tamariki had a wonderful time exploring the bottle cap and peg activity. They used wooden pegs to pick up and transfer bottle caps, strengthening their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and focus. The children showed confidence, persistence, and enjoyment through hands-on play.
