We're reopening State Highway 1 over the Brynderwyns to all vehicles in both directions at 6am on Monday next week, 1 May.

Roadworkers have made great progress during the closure. They've worked across all three overslips in the slip area, including work like cutting back the hillside to move it further from the road, and removing loose material to make the road safe.

We're looking forward to reopening the road on Monday. We'll still be onsite removing material from the southern slip sites.
