With weather warnings in place, please remember your pets.
Try to get them inside early & set up for the night. A few treats to blackmail them maybe necessary, as they don’t always know what’s best for them.
Hopefully it’ll blow through lesser & quicker than anticipated.
Stay safe 🌧️ 💨

With March 31st fast approaching, it's "Tax Time," the time for all you generous folk to get a little back.
Also, the last few days to donate & not have to wait an entire year to be able to claim it back.

If you have donated $5 or more to us in this tax year (1st Apr 24 - 31st Mar 25), we can send a donation receipt so you can claim up to 33.33% of your total donation or taxable income (the lesser of)

If you haven't claimed before, it is a simple process & it's better in your pocket to do with it what you wish, be that treat yourself, donate back to us, or share the love with others.

For anyone who wants a receipt, please fill in this form so we have your current details & a receipt will be sent by the end of April.

Hello! It’s been quite a while since we posted, but we’ve been here, doing what we do, just not as much as the previous 10 years, as we’ve had quite a roller coaster year personally.

The first day of 2025 has been quite a reminder of the ups and downs of 2024.

Cat-wise, today's up was a reminder of when Badger arrived with us when we were warned that his time with us would likely be a few months.
He’s had more than his fair share of life & death battles & yet 8 years later, he’s as loving, mischievous & as well as he’s ever been (touch wood)

Today's Down is the very recent loss of our little lady Magi. Our first pet here in NZ, with her “brother from another mother,” Mojo, who we tragically farewelled on Christmas Day 2 years ago. Her body failed her with a myriad of issues this last year & the fight was lost when we had to say goodbye a few days before Christmas.
15 years of her weird little habits and such unconditional love.

Anyway… we want to thank everyone for their continuing support in 2024 despite our public silence, and we hope that 2025 is the best year yet.
Wishing you all good health & the happiest of New Years.
