Today is International Toy Library Association (ITLA) World Play Day 2026 🌏🎈

This year’s theme - Freedom, Inclusion and Peace, reminds us of the important role play has in building joyful, connected and compassionate communities around the world.

🤸‍♀️ FREEDOM in play is about children having the right and opportunity to play freely, without unnecessary restrictions of time, space, gender roles, ability, or resources.

👩🏿‍🤝‍👨🏼 INCLUSION ensures every child can participate in play, regardless of ability, gender, culture, language, or socioeconomic background.

✌ PEACE through play is about using play to build relationships, resolve conflict, and promote understanding.

👩‍🚒👨🏽‍🚒 Today is International Firefighters' Day, and we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to both paid and volunteer firefighters who risk their lives to protect communities.

Firefighters do so much more than fight fires. We know firsthand how they show up in moments of desperation - providing lifesaving CPR during family emergencies ❤️

Play is such a vital way for kids to process the world and learn about these incredible community helpers. Thank you to the real life heroes who inspire our kids everyday 🚒
