Artist Spotlight: Liam Downes (Rockit Design)

Liam studied at the London Institute and Brighton College of Art and Design in the UK before packing his paint brush and moving to New Zealand in 2001. Auckland has become Liam’s spiritual home, while he continues to find inspiration around most corners of New Zealand; from Rangitoto to the city, chaos to sustainability, following his heart, passions and observations. It’s all about the moment. Liam can usually be found painting in his garden studio in Laingholm, and he wouldn’t swap it for the world!
