Greetings all. Sadly Nanny’s Eatery, the home of Jamaican culture and cuisine in Auckland city, is moving on. To celebrate their incredible 5 years we’re putting together one final Unity through Dub, showcasing many of the selectors from the previous UTD events.
This lineup of roots and dub selectors is rarely seen, especially on a full reggae sound specifically designed for this music. With a shortage of venues that are willing to support reggae sound systems, Nanny’s has been a well needed oasis. For us, Nanny’s has been our home for the last few years, and we’re deeply grateful for them.
So please, I urge you to come and give thanks to the Nanny’s family, and send them forward into the future with the support of the music community they were so much behind.
>>> Selectors on the night:
Fish & Bread — Sound operators, engineers and selectors
Majestic Roots —Rootsman, soundman and radio selector
Lady P — UK foundation collector and selector
Fred Ite’s — Lion Rockers skank machine
Dive Deep — Deepest dub slinger in town
Lovelace Roots — Mighty Channel One apostle
Marcos I — Hot stepping selector
As with all Unity Through Dub sessions, this is a non-ticketed koha event. These donations support your local sound and make these sessions possible

Greetings all family and crew. We’re very pleased to announce we’ll be back in session March 15th at Nanny’s Eatery, Kingsland, for another night of heavy roots and dub.
This is our fourth Unity Through Dub session, and this time we are very excited to have the dub producer Dub Sevā joining us, direct from California with an armload of dubplates and killer tunes, from the vaults of Deep Bow Records.
Those that follow Dub Sevā will know his tunes are currently being played by the leading UK sound systems, such as Ital Power and Channel One, so don’t miss the chance to catch this mighty expat while he’s here.
As usual the full Fish & Bread sound and crew will be in effect, and there are no particular set times, just back to back, dub fi dub selections all night long.
So come and join us for this special Koha-powered event, all crew welcome!
