We made a little joke story about it ..but in all seriousness this was a huge smash and what makes it worse is the IA motorsport BMW had a passenger on board.

Over 160kph sideways into effectively a stationary car, straight into the B-pillar of the BMW and rear quarter of the Silvia. We aren't going to comment on any of the circumstances around the crash however we do want to point out that all the safety equipment fitted to the car and on the occupants did their job and everyone walked away!

Thank you to the awesome medical crew at the track who took care of everyone and did an amazing job also.

We would like to stress the importance of not only buying the right gear but employing the right people to do things like roll cages on motorsport vehicles because if you don't you might not be so lucky.

TPD strongly recommends if you find yourself in ANY type of accident at the track to - check and replace your harnesses/seat, check and inspect your rollcage , inspect and replace your helmet and get your chassis inspected..don't leave it to chance it's not worth it over a few hundred bucks.
