Currently we are working on the restoration of a large building in Grafton. Much of the interior is fitted out in rimu panneling and joinery. Parts of the room lay out is changed, doors are moved, deleted or added. The panneling is than reinstated, recreated and some mouldings and other parts need matching.
A nice change of scenery from the workshop.
Will add more pics closer to competion later.

This is a boring 40 year old reproduction, (client words, not my call) Adding some silverleaf and it looks smart again.

The world is delaminating!!! Sections came off (new Zealand) and parts were loose. Rice starch paste proved to do the trick, clean and reversible. The clamping proved to be a challenge. I had to made a contraption with bungees and pads.

This a a great example of how the French used to decorate their instruments. No inch left undecorated. There is quite a bit of damage/loss on the lid, and also the paint is cracking. The key board cover and the legs all have gesso damage and some old repairs and over-paint.
