Noa’ia Beloveds!

This Christmas we remember that God comes close, not in perfection or strength, but in tenderness and love. In Jesus Christ Emmanuel, God is with us, with every family, every heart, and every story, just as we are.

As we move into a New Year, may God’s grace meet us where we are, renew our hope, steady our hearts, and gently guide us into days shaped by compassion, patience, and healing.

Meri Kirihimete me Ngā Mihi o te Tau Hou!
Kesmas Lelei ma Fau Fo’ou ‘Oaf’ofa!

Wishing all our whānau, friends, and wider community a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year, from the Kingsland Rotuman Methodist Congregation!

We also give thanks for the joy of gathering together at our recent Café Church Service
and shared community lunch last Sunday.
Below are a few moments from our time together.

As a Community of Faith, we hold the first day of December close, as we stand in hope and solidarity with our whānau of West Papua. Advent reminds us that Liberation, Peace and Justice lie at the Heart of the Gospel. We invite you to move in Solidarity with us for West Papua also ✊🏽❤️🙏🏽☀️.

Thank you to everyone who came together for our special Combined Parish Advent Service at Auckland Pitt Street Methodist Church yesterday. It was a beautiful celebration, with choirs, congregations, groups, hands, hearts and voices, offering gifts in worship, service and care.

We were especially blessed by an encouraging and empowering kauwhau from Ö'hön ta Te Aroha Rountree, President of The Methodist Church of New Zealand Te Hāhi Weteriana o Aotearoa, whose steadfast support for our young people and emerging leaders continues to uplift our ministries and our hāhi.

A heartfelt thank you also to Kaiyah and TeRito for taking part in the leading the Prayer of Thanksgiving, on behalf of our Kingsland Trinity Rotuman Congregation. This was Kaiyah’s first time leading a prayer at a Combined Parish Service, and she really shone as a natural young prayer leader!

While many of our congregation could not join last Saturday’s March for Palestine, our hearts remained in solidarity as we gathered for the Rotuman Community Koua to close the Auckland Moanaroa Artists in Residence workshops, beginning with a devotion that honoured Tangata Whenua and paid tribute to our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

It was an honour to host such a significant event in our humble home, and we give thanks to all who made Saturday’s programme both possible and truly memorable. Gagaj Aitu Noa‘ia! ❤️🌱🙏🏽🍉☀️
