I’m just the sort of person who calls a spade a spade.

Yesterday I tattooed a client who told me about his experience over the last few months trying to get his first tattoo.

He paid a $400 deposit to another artist.
(I’m not going to name and shame.)

Since November, she has repeatedly messed him around with rescheduling and excuses. Eventually he got fed up and went to her shop in person — and she was there tattooing.

Despite that, she still hasn’t returned his deposit.

Now, if this was a one-off, I’d understand. Things happen.
But this is honestly about the 30th client who has told me the exact same story about the same person.

What really bothers me is that I still see people on the North Shore area recommending this artist when people ask for a reliable tattoo recommendations.

That’s not right.

What I’m trying to achieve with this post is simple:
👉 If this has happened to you, please speak up.
👉 Leave an honest Google review so others don’t fall into the same trap.

I feel like a lot of people are just too uncomfortable or too nice to be honest in reviews — and this person is taking advantage of that.

I personally know quite a few people who have been screwed over, and I’d hate to know the true number of people this has happened to.

Please see this as a service to the wider community.
Rescheduling now and then is normal — but this is not that.

In my opinion, after nearly 30 years in the tattoo trade, this behaviour is unacceptable.

Today was the big one that we been waiting for ......
It's Betty's 100th birthday
And I decided to do this special one for her for free, that was the deal I made with her last year.
You go Betty you're an example to us all... never be afraid to be who you are, and stop worrying about what people think, people that you probably won't even know in 10 years.
