A fantastic day supporting the wellbeing of the Department of Corrections team in Wellington! 💙
Yesterday, our National Key Account Manager, Renata Rogg, and Regional Manager – Lower North Island, Melissa Farrow, represented LifeCare at the Department of Corrections Wellbeing Expo in Wellington.
The response from employees was fantastic. Throughout the event, there was a constant flow of people taking the opportunity to check in on their health and learn more about their wellbeing. It was encouraging to see so many people proactively taking an interest in their health and wellbeing and valuing the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with our team.
Alongside providing health checks, Melissa also delivered two engaging workshops on Stress Management and Self-Care, equipping attendees with practical strategies they can apply both at work and in their everyday lives.
A special thank you to Melissa, whose professionalism, warmth and genuine care made a real difference throughout the day. No matter how busy it became, she ensured everyone felt listened to and supported. A great reflection of what LifeCare is all about.
A big thank you to the Department of Corrections NZ for inviting us to be part of such a successful event. It's inspiring to work with organisations that recognise the importance of investing in their people's health and wellbeing.
Because when wellbeing is made accessible, people engage, and healthier people help create stronger organisations.
✅ Flu vaccination can help reduce illness and cardiovascular strain.
✅ First aid training helps people respond when emergencies happen.
✅ Health monitoring helps identify risk factors before they become bigger issues.
Together, these initiatives create a stronger, more resilient workforce.

A quick note on the role that flu vaccination, health monitoring and first aid training play in reducing workplace risk and supporting business continuity during the colder months.
- Customer service suffers.
- Workloads increase.
- Deadlines become harder to meet.
Flu season isn't just a health issue. It's a business issue.
Taking simple steps before winter peaks can help protect your people and minimise disruption.
